CALCINED KAOLIN

Calcined China clay ( kaolin ) is also called as metakaolin. It is an anhydrous aluminum silicate a white powdered non-plastic material. It is produced when raw kaolin clay or China clay is fired enough to reduce its crystalline water content via a process known as calcination.

The chemical formula of calcined kaolin is AL2O3.2SIO2.2H2O.

Calcination increases the brightness of kaolin. Also improves its electrical properties.

LEVIGATED KAOLIN

Washed China clay ( kaolin ) is produce by lavigation process. Raw China clay ( kaolin ) is mixed with water to create milk shake like slurry. This slurry is passed through de-gritting, solid-liquid separation, filtering, and drying process.

And then it become water washed China clay ( kaolin ). Which are available in powder and lumps form and different mesh size like 100/200/300 mesh etc.
